PeppermintProfile information

Rules

These rules apply to everyone who uses PeppermintProfile and to conduct across profiles, business pages, listings and offers, posts, messages, images, reviews, reports, transactions, services, appointments, and events.

Rules are the plain-language standard for everyday use. PeppermintProfile policies remain the formal authority. When a more specific applicable policy addresses the same conduct, follow that policy.

Use a truthful identity and profile

  • Section 1(A) Use an account and identity that truthfully represent you. Do not impersonate another person or business or hide who is responsible for an account.
  • Section 1(B) Keep material profile and business information accurate, including names, ownership, qualifications, locations, and ways to contact or transact.
  • Section 1(C) Do not use multiple accounts, false identities, or coordinated activity to deceive people, evade restrictions, or create a false impression of reputation or demand.

Publish and communicate honestly

  • Section 2(A) Make truthful statements in posts, messages, images, reviews, reports, listings, service descriptions, and event information.
  • Section 2(B) Do not fabricate experiences, reviews, transactions, availability, qualifications, results, or other activity.
  • Section 2(C) Correct or update material information when circumstances change. Do not hide a fact that would reasonably affect another person’s decision.

Treat people safely and respectfully

  • Section 3(A) Do not threaten, harass, intimidate, humiliate, discriminate against, or direct unwanted sexual conduct at another person.
  • Section 3(B) Do not exploit or sexualize minors, encourage self-harm, celebrate violence, or share another person’s private information without permission.
  • Section 3(C) Do not pressure someone to change a review, withdraw a report, waive an available protection, move an interaction off PeppermintProfile, or agree to an in-person arrangement.

Represent businesses, services, and events accurately

  • Section 4(A) Offer only a business, service, appointment, or event that is legitimate, lawful, and within your authority and reasonable ability to provide.
  • Section 4(B) State material prices, charges, availability, qualifications, location, timing, access conditions, and cancellation terms clearly and keep them current.
  • Section 4(C) Follow the terms you accepted. If a delay, shortage, cancellation, or other material change occurs, tell affected people promptly and explain the available options honestly.

Make and honor commitments fairly

  • Section 5(A) Before someone commits, make the payment method, delivery or pickup plan, expected timing, cancellation terms, and any return conditions clear.
  • Section 5(B) Do not place or accept an order, schedule a service, or make another commitment without a genuine intention and reasonable ability to complete it.
  • Section 5(C) Buyers must provide valid payment and accurate transaction information. Sellers and providers must deliver what was accurately offered under the agreed terms.
  • Section 5(D) An interaction may move off PeppermintProfile only when everyone freely agrees. PeppermintProfile protections apply only where the applicable policy says they do.

Protect safety and follow item restrictions

  • Section 6(A) Do not offer, request, or transact in unlawful, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, officially unsafe, or otherwise prohibited goods or services. Follow the current applicable item policy and all location, age, licensing, shipping, and safety restrictions.
  • Section 6(B) Do not seek or share passwords, verification codes, full payment credentials, stolen personal information, malicious software, or unauthorized account access.
  • Section 6(C) Pause an interaction when details are inconsistent, pressure is increasing, or circumstances feel unsafe. Leave or end an in-person interaction if material conditions change.
  • Section 6(D) PeppermintProfile is not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services first when someone may be in immediate danger.

Use reviews, reports, and platform systems honestly

  • Section 7(A) Base reviews on a genuine experience. Do not buy, sell, trade, fabricate, or coerce a review or offer a benefit in exchange for one.
  • Section 7(B) Submit a report only when you honestly believe content or conduct is a problem, and provide relevant available evidence. Do not use reports to punish, harass, compete unfairly, or gain leverage.
  • Section 7(C) A report, allegation, rating, account size, or number of reports is not automatic proof. Decisions use the applicable rules, available evidence, and relevant context, and a person should receive a reasonable opportunity to respond when the process and safety circumstances allow.
  • Section 7(D) Confirmed violations may lead to content or listing removal, transaction action, warnings, restrictions, strikes, suspension, or removal under the applicable policies. Serious fraud, exploitation, threats, stolen goods, unauthorized account access, or immediate safety risks may require immediate action.
  • Section 7(E) Use an appeal or review process only when the applicable policy or case provides one. Review does not guarantee a different outcome.

Follow the rules for your role

  • Section 8(A) Use Buying Rules before committing to a purchase and when handling payment, pickup, delivery, inspection, cancellation, return, dispute, review, or report as a buyer.
  • Section 8(B) Use Selling Rules before publishing an offer and when handling pricing, availability, condition, fulfillment, pickup, shipping, cancellation, return, refund, dispute, review, or report as a seller or business.
