Buying Rules

Use these rules whenever you are considering, making, receiving, inspecting, reviewing, or disputing a purchase through PeppermintProfile.

These rules are a practical summary. Buyer Protection, Returns and Refunds, Marketplace Guidelines, Safety Guidelines, and other applicable policies remain the formal authority.

Check the offer before you commit

  • Section 1(A) Read the full listing or offer, including condition, measurements, included and missing parts, price, required charges, availability, fulfillment method, and return terms.
  • Section 1(B) Ask material questions before purchasing. Do not assume a feature, condition, size, service term, or return right that was not offered.
  • Section 1(C) Review the seller or business information and pause when details conflict, pressure is unusual, or the offer appears misleading or unrealistic.
  • Section 1(D) Commit only when you have a genuine intention and reasonable ability to complete the purchase under the stated terms.

Communicate and pay honestly

  • Section 2(A) Provide accurate delivery, pickup, contact, and transaction information and a valid payment method.
  • Section 2(B) Use the payment and communication method agreed for the transaction. Buyer Protection applies only to eligible purchases completed and paid for through PeppermintProfile.
  • Section 2(C) Move payment or communication off PeppermintProfile only when both sides freely agree. Do not pressure a seller to leave the platform or misstate payment, customs, value, or delivery information.
  • Section 2(D) Never send a password, verification code, full payment credential, or account-recovery information.

Handle pickup, delivery, and inspection carefully

  • Section 3(A) Confirm the agreed pickup, delivery, shipping, appointment, or access details before the transaction is fulfilled. In-person arrangements are optional and require mutual agreement.
  • Section 3(B) Do not force an address, destination, meeting place, or fulfillment method outside the seller’s disclosed terms or an accepted transaction process.
  • Section 3(C) Inspect the item or completed transaction promptly during the applicable inspection period. Compare it with the listing and preserve the item, packaging, labels, and available evidence if there is a material problem.
  • Section 3(D) Do not confirm acceptance until you are satisfied with the inspection. Confirmation may release payment under the applicable protection policy.

Communicate changes and cancellations promptly

  • Section 4(A) Tell the seller promptly when your delivery, pickup, contact, or other material information changes and use only an accepted process for the change.
  • Section 4(B) Do not misuse a cancellation reason, leave a seller waiting when you know you will not complete the transaction, or repeatedly place orders without a genuine intention to pay.
  • Section 4(C) A seller may decline a new transaction or make a documented good-faith cancellation for a legitimate fraud, abuse, safety, or fulfillment concern. A seller may not keep payment without fulfilling or refunding as required.

Use returns, refunds, and disputes correctly

  • Section 5(A) Use an eligible protection claim for a covered material problem. Fit, preference, remorse, or a disclosed limitation follows the seller’s clearly stated return policy unless the listing was materially inaccurate.
  • Section 5(B) Open an eligible claim within the applicable deadline, describe the problem honestly, preserve the item and packaging, and provide relevant available evidence.
  • Section 5(C) After discovering the claimed problem, do not use, wash, wear, consume, install, repair, damage, remove parts from, or materially alter the item beyond reasonable inspection and documentation.
  • Section 5(D) Use the authorized return method and return the original item in materially the same condition received with applicable parts, accessories, tags, and packaging.
  • Section 5(E) The seller receives a reasonable opportunity to respond. Neither side is automatically presumed right, and no refund, return, reimbursement, or other outcome is guaranteed before review.

Leave reviews fairly

  • Section 6(A) Review only a genuine experience and describe it honestly and relevantly.
  • Section 6(B) Do not threaten a negative review to obtain an extra, discount, refund, cancellation, or policy exception that was not offered.
  • Section 6(C) Do not fabricate, trade, sell, coordinate, or accept a benefit for a review. Do not pressure another person to change or remove a legitimate review.

Do not misuse claims, reports, or buyer protection

  • Section 7(A) Do not make a false nondelivery or material-mismatch claim, return a different item, remove or swap parts, stage or alter evidence, or blame a seller for buyer-caused use or damage.
  • Section 7(B) Do not seek duplicate recovery, use a chargeback and a platform claim for the same loss without disclosure, make coercive demands, or submit a retaliatory claim, report, or review.
  • Section 7(C) A report or claim is not automatic proof. Decisions use the applicable rules, reliable evidence, circumstances, and relevant account history.
  • Section 7(D) An honest mistake is not automatically fraud. Confirmed misuse may lead to claim denial, loss of protection, repayment where lawful, warnings, restrictions, strikes, suspension, or removal under the applicable policies.
  • Section 7(E) Use an available appeal when you believe an applicable rule was applied incorrectly or relevant evidence was overlooked or has become newly available. An appeal does not guarantee a different outcome.
