Selling Rules

Use these rules whenever you publish, price, sell, fulfill, deliver, return, refund, review, or dispute an offer through PeppermintProfile.

These rules are a practical summary. Seller Protection, Returns and Refunds, Marketplace Guidelines, Prohibited and Restricted Items, Safety Guidelines, and other applicable policies remain the formal authority.

Keep listings and business information accurate

  • Section 1(A) Truthfully identify yourself or your business and accurately state material ownership, qualifications, location, and contact information.
  • Section 1(B) Use an honest title and description, clear photos, and accurate details about condition, authenticity, measurements, specifications, included and missing parts, repairs, alterations, and known material defects.
  • Section 1(C) Use the correct category and remove, pause, or update an offer when availability or another material detail changes.
  • Section 1(D) State the fulfillment method, timing, service area, required charges, cancellation terms, and seller-provided return conditions before someone commits.

Price, promote, and describe availability honestly

  • Section 2(A) Display the genuine price and disclose required shipping, service, deposit, pickup, or other charges before purchase.
  • Section 2(B) Do not invent a former price or discount, hide required charges, change an agreed price without consent, or switch someone to a materially different offer.
  • Section 2(C) List only an item, service, or event that you own, are authorized to provide, or can fulfill through a legitimate disclosed arrangement.
  • Section 2(D) Do not use unavailable offers, deceptive duplicates, irrelevant keywords, sham activity, or coordinated accounts to attract attention or manipulate placement, history, demand, or reputation.

Offer only safe, lawful, and permitted items

  • Section 3(A) Follow the current Prohibited and Restricted Items policy before publishing or fulfilling an offer.
  • Section 3(B) Do not sell unlawful, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, officially unsafe, contaminated, or otherwise prohibited items.
  • Section 3(C) Confirm that an item is lawful in every jurisdiction involved and that age, licensing, warning, destination, packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements can be followed.
  • Section 3(D) Do not make false medical, safety, authenticity, certification, ownership, or intellectual-property claims.

Fulfill, ship, deliver, and meet as agreed

  • Section 4(A) Use the agreed fulfillment method, address, timing, item, service, and other accepted terms.
  • Section 4(B) Ship or fulfill within the promised time and keep reliable tracking, delivery, pickup, packing, serial-number, or service-completion evidence when applicable.
  • Section 4(C) In-person pickup, delivery, appointment, or access is optional and requires mutual agreement. Do not pressure anyone into a location, time, or arrangement.
  • Section 4(D) If a delay, shortage, cancellation, carrier event, or other material change occurs, tell the buyer promptly and explain the available options honestly.

Communicate and choose transactions fairly

  • Section 5(A) Answer material questions honestly and treat prospective and current buyers respectfully.
  • Section 5(B) Before payment, you may decline a transaction or refuse unoffered extras, discounts, terms, or locations for a legitimate reason. Reasonable questions alone are not abuse.
  • Section 5(C) Do not unlawfully discriminate, retaliate against legitimate use of a review, report, claim, or protection process, or pressure someone to move payment or communication off PeppermintProfile.
  • Section 5(D) After payment, cancel and promptly refund only when a legitimate fulfillment, fraud, abuse, or safety concern prevents completion. Do not keep payment without fulfilling or refunding as required.

Handle returns, refunds, and disputes fairly

  • Section 6(A) Follow the return terms you clearly stated and the applicable Buyer Protection, Seller Protection, and Returns and Refunds policies.
  • Section 6(B) Respond to a claim by its stated deadline and provide relevant listing, message, tracking, packing, delivery, pickup, condition, identifier, return-policy, and transaction evidence.
  • Section 6(C) Cooperate with an approved return, provide a valid return address, and inspect the returned item within the applicable policy period.
  • Section 6(D) Report substitution, missing parts, buyer-caused damage, use, alteration, or another material condition change honestly and with evidence. Do not make an arbitrary deduction or claim more than a proven loss.
  • Section 6(E) A buyer allegation or return delivery is not automatic proof. Neither side is automatically presumed right, and no payment, reimbursement, refund, or other outcome is guaranteed before review.

Do not misuse seller protections or platform systems

  • Section 7(A) Do not publish a knowingly inaccurate offer, manipulate tracking or evidence, ship the wrong or an incomplete item, evade an approved return, make an unfair refund deduction, or repeatedly cancel without legitimate cause.
  • Section 7(B) Do not submit a false or retaliatory report, claim, or review, and do not threaten feedback or account action to pressure a buyer.
  • Section 7(C) A report, allegation, rating, account size, or number of reports is not automatic proof. Decisions use the applicable rules, reliable evidence, circumstances, and relevant account history.
  • Section 7(D) An honest mistake is not automatically fraud. Confirmed misuse may remove protection and lead to transaction action, warnings, restrictions, strikes, suspension, removal, or repayment obligations where lawful under the applicable policies.
  • Section 7(E) Use an available appeal when you believe an applicable rule was applied incorrectly or relevant evidence was overlooked or has become newly available. An appeal does not guarantee a different outcome.
