Marketplace Guidelines
PeppermintProfile connects real people and small businesses. These guidelines explain what buyers and sellers should expect from one another when listing, purchasing, selling, or resolving a marketplace problem. Our separate Content Standards govern what people may publish or send throughout PeppermintProfile.
Describe yourself, your business, and everything you offer honestly. Photos, prices, condition, availability, qualifications, and important details should match what buyers or customers will actually receive.
Do not impersonate someone else, create fake reviews, advertise something you cannot provide, or switch an offer after someone responds. If something important changes, update it promptly.
Show the actual item whenever its individual condition matters. Clearly disclose damage, defects, missing parts, repairs, alterations, measurements, age, and anything else that could reasonably affect someone’s decision.
Stock or representative photos may supplement a listing, but they must not create a misleading impression of the item being sold.
The displayed price, discount, and promotion must be genuine. Do not invent an inflated former price, advertise a discount that does not exist, hide required charges, or change the agreed price without the other person’s consent.
Clearly disclose shipping, service, deposit, pickup, or other required charges before someone commits to the transaction.
You must own the item, have permission to sell it, or have a legitimate arrangement allowing you to fulfill the order. Goods and services must comply with applicable laws and PeppermintProfile’s prohibited-items rules.
Do not list unavailable items merely to attract attention, collect inquiries, or redirect people toward a different offer.
Use the correct category and provide enough relevant information for someone to understand the offer. Remove, pause, or update listings when an item becomes unavailable or important details change.
Do not flood the marketplace with deceptive duplicates, irrelevant keywords, or listings created mainly to manipulate search placement.
Before a transaction, clearly explain the payment method, delivery or pickup arrangements, expected completion time, cancellation terms, and any seller-provided return conditions.
Terms added after the agreement do not bind the other person unless both sides accept the change.
Sellers should provide the item or service described, using the price, timing, delivery method, and other terms that were agreed upon. Buyers should submit valid payment, provide accurate information, and honor commitments they freely make.
Neither side should make an offer, accept an order, or schedule a service without a genuine intention to complete it.
Mistakes, shortages, emergencies, and delays happen. Tell the other person promptly when something changes and explain the available options honestly.
Do not falsely blame the other person, misuse a cancellation reason, or leave someone waiting when you already know the transaction cannot be completed.
Buyers deserve to receive what was promised. Sellers deserve protection from false claims, abusive returns, and goods returned in worse condition than they were sent.
Neither side is automatically presumed right. Disputes should be evaluated using the listing, messages, payment and delivery records, photographs, and other relevant evidence.
Do not destroy, alter, use, or intentionally damage an item and then seek a refund by claiming it arrived that way.
Do not sell stolen goods or use another person’s photographs, writing, trademarks, designs, or other protected work without authorization.
A seller must be able to show ownership, permission, or a legitimate right to offer an item when reasonably asked.
Do not fabricate purchases, coordinate sham transactions, misuse multiple accounts, or artificially manipulate views, favorites, search placement, sales history, or marketplace activity.
Competition is welcome. Deception designed to create a false impression of demand, reputation, or popularity is not.
PeppermintProfile reserves the right to analyze and investigate any and all transactions conducted through the platform in the pursuit of preventing and addressing fraud, theft, and marketplace manipulation. Investigations may consider the available evidence, the seriousness and frequency of the conduct, the number of transactions completed, and the account’s overall history. Confirmed violations may result in warnings, restrictions, strikes, suspension, or permanent removal.
A transaction may move off PeppermintProfile only when both parties freely agree. If either person wants to keep communication or payment on the platform, the other person must either continue on PeppermintProfile or decline the transaction. No one may pressure or penalize another person for choosing platform protection.
PeppermintProfile protections apply only to transactions completed through PeppermintProfile. Because PeppermintProfile uses subscription pricing rather than taking a percentage of each sale, mutually agreed off-platform transactions are not treated as fee circumvention.
