Content Standards

These standards apply to content you publish or send through PeppermintProfile, including personal profiles, business pages, listings, dining, service, and event offerings, reviews, messages, images, and reports. Marketplace Guidelines separately cover buying, selling, listings, transactions, and conduct connected to a transaction.

Disagreement is allowed. Threats, harassment, intimidation, discriminatory abuse, unwanted sexual conduct, and deliberate humiliation are not. Do not pressure anyone to change a review, withdraw a report, or give up a protection available to them.

Do not post content that degrades people because of protected characteristics, threatens or celebrates violence, sexualizes or exploits minors, encourages self-harm, or shares another person’s private information without permission. Content can be lawful and still be disturbing; PeppermintProfile may limit its visibility, especially when it could be shown to people who did not choose to see it.

Pornography and sexually explicit content are not allowed on PeppermintProfile.

Do not impersonate a person or business, invent experiences that did not happen, create deceptive content, or deliberately misrepresent who you are or what you offer. Detailed rules for listings and transaction conduct belong in the Marketplace Guidelines.

Reviews must come from a genuine experience. Do not buy, sell, trade, or fabricate reviews, and do not pressure anyone to leave a favorable review. Do not offer a discount, refund, free item, or other benefit in exchange for a review—even when asking for an “honest” review.

Submit a report only when you honestly believe content or conduct is a problem. Do not use reports to punish a competitor, harass someone, or gain leverage in a disagreement.

We apply these standards using clear rules and available evidence—not popularity, the number of reports, or an automatic assumption that one side is right. When a problem can reasonably be corrected, the person responsible should usually have a chance to fix it. Serious cases, including fraud, stolen goods, threats of violence, sexual exploitation of minors, or unauthorized account access, may require immediate content removal or account restriction.
